We have some very fine pistachios grown in California. The California ones are so fine that they don’t have to be dyed red to hid the imperfections.

Now they have something they can hold over our heads … surrender is inevitable.

I heard they dyed them red to camoflage the sweaty dirt from the picker’s hands. I never could buy red pistachios after that.

I think America can survive with California Pistachio nuts. Better quality at any rate. The Europeans can go beg the Iranians for nuts.

I love pistachios, luckily Turkey provides an excellent alternative.

BOYCOTT PISTACIOS!!!

Perhaps a boycott of Iranian pistacios would have an impact.

IIRC, prior to the hostage confrontation with Iran, they had nearly all of the production, that our domestic industry was virtually nothing.

Thanks to the cutoff back then, CA has developed a good industry and a very fine product. Pastachios in the stores now are cheaper and of superior quality compared to those days, IMO.

“Perhaps a boycott of Iranian pistacios would have an impact.”

Only if the boycott was in the middle east and europe and Asia.

OMG, I didn’t realize this quagmire would hit so deep.

How is a free world to live without pistachios?

Oh the HUGE MANATEE(sorry, picture not available)!

Let’s all call our elected leaders to do something to avert this crisis.

We have some very fine pistachios grown in California.

The heavy plantings started thanks to the ineptitude of Jimmah "Peanut" Catarrh.

We lost our supply from Iran, so Americans started to grow the pistachios we no longer could (nor wanted to!) import.
