I want you to take this letter and respectfully forward it to your senators and representatives. It is past time that the likes of Harry Reid get their fingers out of their ears and start listening to the troops. Reid voted to send them to Iraq. The very least he could do in return is stand up to the nutroots and stop giving al Qaeda propaganda points.

How many Democrats are in office today that go there because they didnt support the war in Iraq? Using the ignorance of civilian America to launch themselves onto a political platform.

I am not saying that Republicans are any better

In light of today's vote, Republicans are many, many times better. Is there anyone on the Republican side remotely close to Harry POS Reid?

Thank you so much for your post. And thank you for serving the people of the United States. I wish you well and I pray for your continued health and strength.

I agree with you that the politicos are using the war in Iraq as a political football. But then, I’m old enough to remember when they did the same thing in Vietnam.

Maybe all the politicos in Washington just expect instant gratification. If victory isn’t at hand somewhere between the first and fourth quarter, then it’s time to fold up and quit.

Politicians are children. They want it all, and the instanter the better.

And you’re absolutely right — our political system is in dire need of some restructuring. There’s something drastically wrong with people who drive Escorts to Washington then get driven to their re-election bashes in stretch limos. Well, actually, they’re all being driven now in Black SUVs since that’s what the Secret Service drives the president around in.

Hmmmm.

This is surprising, as traditionally American soldiers are non-political. But traditionally, they didn’t face a political party run by people who were hostile to their mission and purpose, either.

Hopefully, a lot of the American troops are from Nevada.
