My wife taught at Jefferson in South Central for years. It broke our hearts how fast the place got trashed. I spent several weekends and a lot of $$$ trying to make that school and her classroom a place of sanctuary and beauty.

After a while we both just didn’t give a damn anymore.

My wife quit to become a stay-at-home mom and we’ve never looked back.

Perhaps, nothing will change until the punishment for vandalism is so heinous that the vandals honestly think twice.

Public caning followed by hard labor?

I think we need a vigilante sniper, personally.

Does anyone else remember that case of that guy in Hong Kong who was caned for vandalism? Liberals here were horrified that someone would be BEATEN for simply vandalizing a few cars.

I thought it was great.

I always thought it should be a death penalty offense because these vandals kill neighborhoods.
