I am really disappointed that you of all people ST would also choose to paint all #8 fans this way. Were you and some of the others posting here actually at Talladega yesterday? You spoke to one person at TMS and talked to a few others and come to the conclusion that it's all #8 fans???
It is quite possible that the MAJORITY were #8 fans because 80% of the people out there are his fans!!..........so the ODDS could be correct. However, I have yet to see any picture, anywhere that shows last night to be equal to the amount of missiles thrown last year. You can't stop these few idiots that do that! Think about it 168,000+ people, how many cans??? 20...25??
Actually, if some of you will do your homework, the fans were upset because of the caution finish and had nothing to do with Jr not winning because he really didn't have a chance unless he pulled one of his miracle runs. The problem I've seen and heard on the TV and the various driver Internet sites is that they thought a red should have been thrown. Oh gosh maybe they were JJ fans, because he actually could have had a chance to win if Nascar had thrown the red, but we will never know.
The majority of the #8 fans are decent folks, not drunken maniacs who could be fans of nothing but the sport of going to a racetrack and drinking themselves stupid. To blame all 8 fans is disrespectful to us and to the driver we support.
Norm, if you could have someone do the Darlington thread I would appreciate it. I don't have anything else until Fontana in September, if I have calmed down by then I will be back.
It happens for one reason and one reason only, when Jeff Gordon beats Dale Earnhardt Jr. Feel free to post any evidence that shows otherwise. And no where did I say all Jr fans should be drawn and quartered.
Now I would like to apologize for disrupting the thread. I quit posting earlier because I tired of the continued conspiracy rants and did my best to keep my mouth shut after the race. I had had enough when another poster was tagged for spelling errors as a rebuttal.
Feel free to carry on, I really doubt one, out of the measly 20%, will be missed.
Vaya con Dios.
