“As I recall, the feminists jumped on her story to push women in combat.”
Feminazis - another load of useless protein. They don’t mind military women getting killed, tortured, or raped — just so long as it’s someone else, or someone else’s daughter.
It is more appalling that Waxman is taking his cues from the media.
Jackie Kennedy wasn’t chopped liver.
The scorn for Lynch that surfaces at Free Republic from time to time is sickening. Sanctimonious dirtbags describes them too kindly.
Woman-hating sanctimonious dirtbags.
Was this medal a purple heart?
I think she received a Purple Heart, and a Bronz Star.
Why are his parents so adverse to the truth? They need the world to believe he is a hero, when the facts don’t fit the picture? Why do they care what the world thinks of Tilman?
People die every day, most of them leading normal lives and just by dying they aren’t elevated to story-book status. Death happens.
There are heros in life, and there are victims. Pat Tilman was a victim of an ACCIDENT. That doesn’t make him less of a soldier or a human being.
Doesn’t the military have film crews on the ground? Do you think that footage was taken by NBC? If it was, I don’t think the soldiers there were thinking about NBC filming, only their task at hand.

Kevin Tillman, too. The man did volunteer, made Ranger, and fought in Afganistan, losing his brother. But he doesn’t ‘toe the line’, so he’s attacked.
so your real problem is with your fellow men-folk ...
I see the haters are here again...
sometimes it is shocking the hate that comes from some freepers....freepers who one would think would be greatful that a young American went willingly into the service for her country....
but no....we are still rehashing the MSM debacle and blaming it on her
The problem with Kevin....once you start reading far and wide...he doesn’t lay an open attack about the “hero status” and the Army’s attempt to hide the episode. Kevin goes far and wide...openly attacking anything that has to do with the US military and anything they’ve done over the past four years.
Kevin isn’t your run-of-the-mill brother who weeps openly about his brother and the way that the guy had to die. Instead...he uses his brother as a “joker-card” in the deck of media play. I grew up in the south...and this type of behavior is very low. I wouldn’t tolerate a single member of my family acting this way. Every single officer and NCO at fault on that day could be brought to justice...and Kevin wouldn’t be finished. Kevin would just go onto Pat version 2.0 and attempt to find various other friendly-fire episodes.
For those who might have served in Vietnam or WW II....there are a significant number of men who died in this fashion. I don’t see congressional committees forming to discuss them. Nor do I see a committee forming to discuss General Stonewall Jackson’s friendly-fire episode. Once you stand back and see the whole forest....you understand things better.
"Maintenance Company" and "improperly maintained weapons" seem to always go hand in hand. I remember doing a 25 mile road march when I was in the 101st. The entire Battalion had to do it. The cooks, mechanics, and admin people were at the rear of the march, spread out over the entire 25 miles in various states of disrepair. At the end of the road march, we had to qualify with our rifles. Us 11B's ran the range for the Headquarters company. Half their rifles didn't work, which was embarrassing for us, because after all, we were in the same unit. It was a reoccurring problem during my career; from squad leader to Platoon Sgt to PLDC Instructor; Admin and failing equipment went together.

Just because Jessica got co-opted by the left, does not mean the Pentagon told the lies.
And if she “can’t remember” she should STFU.
As for Tillman, there is real question as to whether or not he and the guy that was killed with them were the ones that initiated the friendly fire that got them killed. And that that is the reason the commander on decided to report it as “enemy-fire”.
Is it better to remember Tillman as a hero who died at the hands of the enemy, or as someone who fired on his own troops in the dark of night and got killed by them. This sort of thing happens a lot in war, but most civilians, especially grieving parents rarely are able to understand it.
I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I never thought Jackie was attractive.
Hillery didn’t look too bad as a Godlwater Girl. SHe went bad after she became a leftist liberal. Liberalism warps faces and bodies as much as minds.
bttt
Democrats are cowards, I expected nothing less from these moonbat wimps.
Exactly!
