I just wanted to drop by and say how much all the prayers mean to military spouses. I love my “job”. The only hard part is pretending that he won’t go away again. I guess that is the only way I cope.

My husband has been in training classes all week to prepair for being one of the people who show up at the front door in dress greens to inform an unfortunate spouse or parent that their spouse/child has made the ultimate sacrifice. He has been a little depressed this week.

I guess I forget about the people like that who are left behind. We always remember the significant others in the soldier’s life, but there are many more who are affected by a soldier’s death. It has to be hard to face someone under this circumstance. Prayers for these people going up now.

God bless your husband..What a valuable service he is training for and such a difficult one to do. My prayers are with him, with you and those he will be sadly informing of their and our nation’s loss.
I am so glad you are there for him.

Your hubby is taking on a very difficult and emotionally tasking job. My prayers will be with him. I hope he has a good chaplain there to work with.

Thanks for the “job” you do spotbust. I remember very well the “job” mrsdd did way back when. She was there then, and she’s by my side 40+ years later. God Bless our Military Spouses - forgotten heroes.

Also, may God Bless your husband as he completes his training. It takes a special kind of man for that task and a special wife beside him. Blessings to you both.

spotbust, thank you for your post. Such a tough job your husband has - you just know that has to be one of the hardest jobs in the military, and they certainly have to be made of strong stuff to give the sad news to the family. :(
