The Republican candidates for president will be debating on May 3, and Politico wants user-submitted questions that they'll ask during the debate. The event will be broadcast live on MSNBC and streamed live at Politico.com. All of the GOP candidates appear to have been invited, but I don't know which will show up.
You can submit your questions at the link, and you can indicate which candidate it's for. You need to sign up first, but that's free.
Please think up specific, adversarial questions designed to reveal flaws in the positions or statements of the various candidates. I.e., no general, open-ended, etc. questions. Before posting a question, imagine how the candidate will respond. Make sure they can't respond with their stock talking points, and try to make it as difficult as possible for them to evade the question.
Also, please look through the questions that have been asked and vote up (the "I like this question" button) questions that you think will be difficult.
You can search for (and hopefully vote up) a question I submitted by selecting "Sort by most recent"/"Mitt Romney"/"immigration" in the popups:
"Do you support any form of path to citizenship/regularization/legalization/etc. for illegal aliens? Do you agree that *any* form of such legalization would be *perceived* as *amnesty* by *millions* of prospective illegal aliens around the world?"
Thanks for headsup.
To any/all candidate(s): If Fox News is percieved as right wing and biased - do you consider MSNBC as the opposite alternative to those who consider Fox News right wing and biased?
Hunter/Rudy/Romney/Paul ping.
Nice question! Thompson should come out tomorrow and shun pmsnbc (even though he has not announced). I say this because I would dearly love for the left to get an “in kind” rebuke, but I can’t see a single other candidate in our group that would actually do it. Fred is an unknown, therefore it is “possible”.

Sure here is one, why don’t we bring back the punishment for treason so we can do something about Harry Reid, Pelosi and others.
RE: Candidates confirmed for MSNBC debates - (Brian Williams and Chris Matthews will moderate debates)
Thompson cannot announce until some contractual agreements are completed.
Wouln’t that be a waste of time, since no Republican voter would watch that channel? /sarcasm//
(Democrats/FOX + Republicans/MSNBC = Pot/Kettle)
I think I might submit a question about global warming - it’s among my litmus tests for determining the presence of a functioning brain.
Thanks so much. I went and registered. I even posted a question.
I suggest all Freepers who are concerned about Rudy’s candidacy, go to the site and check the questions you want him to answer. You can click on “Rudy Giuliani” and also click on “All Issues” and check the ones you want Rudy to answer.
I’m going to ask about the life issue, and will they continue to fight to keep the Republican platform pro-life.
Mrs. Clinton, over the weekend, you said to the National Action Network, quote, "When I walk into the Oval Office in 2009, I'm afraid I'm going to lift up the rug and I'm going to see so much stuff under there. You know, what is it about us always having to clean up after people?"
My question is, why do you need another sample of your husband's DNA from under the rug? Wasn't it enough getting it off of Monica Lewinsky's blue dress?
Looks like napscoordinator is falling for the story line about Mitt which originated from the Boston Globe and the McCain campaign. Let’s see Mitt is hated by the Globe and Kerry is idolized. Hmmm... I wonder why????
bump!
I hope folks will vote on tbe questions, as I think many libs are asking dumb questions.
For instance, here’s an example:
“by WilliamH on 04.15.2007 at 07:52 PM
Topic Is: Environment
What is your response to republicans and right wing bloggers that claim Kyoto is just an attempt to hurt the economies of developed nations? Will you sign on to the Kyoto treaty?”
