His book the Summer of 49 was a real good baseball book, about the ongoing rivlary between the Red Sox and Yankees.

couldn’t agree more on the book. the best (along with “the glory of their times”) baseball writing pen ever put to paper in my opinion. RIP Mr. Halberstam.
