We will have to agree to disagree. It is not a lack of backbone, but of moral agreement on this and other issues near and dear to conservatives. The problem is that there are no leaders with true conservative values that are electable. That is what gives Rudy traction. It is more symptomatic of our deficiencies, than of his lack of the qualities we say we want. It is the same way in California where I live. This is exactly how Ahhhnuld became gubernator and then demonstrated he was a RINO.

Yes, it is a mistake to make Rudy the next GOP presidential candidate, but are conservatives prepared to lose the presidency to gain control of their party? It is a valid question.
