In New York City, Mayor Michael Bloomberg vetoed the bat ban earlier this month... But the City Council overwhelmingly knocked down the veto by a vote of 41-4.

I tried to lookup the NYC Counicl to see who sat on it but the page wouldn't come up.

Why don't they ban baseballs and move to wiffle balls while they're at it? Sheesh!

I could care less about the safety aspects of either, but it ain’t baseball if you’re using an aluminum bat.
