When these trips go to Israel, security is extremely tight. They have armed security 24/7 and are not allowed to slip away from the group, ever. In years past, kids have been sent home for slipping away from the group, in one case, just to go to the ATM. It isn't tolerated at all. The Israelis take their security really seriously.
