LOL! You’re fighting an uphill battle.
I’m a Rudy fan, too. But to admit such on FR these days is equivalent to calling Cindy Shehan a hero. The anti-Rudy campaign is in full swing and ANYONE WHO DISAGREES WILL BE FLAMED INTO SUBMISSION!
They think they represent the majority because they hijack every Rudy thread and abuse anyone who has the temerity to speak up.
Here in the deep South, most conservatives I know love Rudy and will vote for him. I think most of us are calculating, too, that Rudy will appeal to enough independents to offset the loss of votes from people like those on these boards who think ONLY THEY represent true conservatives. They have a rude awakening coming in ‘08 when they realize the GOP doesn’t need them as much as they think.
PS: Flame away!
If nothing else, I look forward to Rudy’s treatment of the insane D.C. press corps. Should be an interesting 8 years!
I’m just trying to point out that attacking Rudy are the same big thinkers who attacked imperfect northern senators in the senate, and attacking Republicans is a losing strategery.
The so called real conservatives, whoever those ethereal beings are, need to be attacking democrats NOT REPUBLICANS!!!
I live in the Deep South too.
People I talk to about Rudy are either:
A) Respectful but uncomfortable with his positions.
B) Shocked when I tell them about his positions on abortion, homosexual rights, guns, and immigration.
Or C) Disgusted.
Fairly accurate statement there!
I've said before, in other posts, I cannot and will not vote for McCain or Giuliani...even if one of them makes it to the general election. One is too liberal, the other too crazy!
Well, I am in the deep South, too and no one I have talked with will support him and his liberal views.
