Sure. We need a law requiring that two laws be repealed for every new law passed.

yes. Shakespeare had a proposition once concerning lawyers. it might make a good law, and a really interesting logical debate about interpretation and enforcement.
It's actually a law that would by definition obsolete itself.

I’ve always thought soldiers who serve in active combat overseas should be tax exempt. How about that?

We need a federal gun law like the one in Kennesaw, Ga. It states that every head of household must own at least one gun and ammunition. It was fought by the ACLU and was found constitutional.

I have a similar suggestion to the first one you got. How about a sunset law. Such a law would require congress to pass any again every five years or pick your number of years. This would have several good effects:
1. It would keep legislators BUSY. They could do less harm if they were not such idle hands. That is if they had to work to pass important laws.
2. It would cause us not to have old bad laws on the books for some DA to pull out to punish someone they did not like.
3. It would cause the laws to reflect current views more.
4. And heck a thoughtful legislature if that is not an oxymoron MIGHT improve laws as they are renewed.

OK, make it illegal for a law student to try and get someone to do their home work for them.

How about something nice and simple like convicted felons are no longer eligible for Congressional pensions?

The department of fish and wildlife should have "Lawyer Season"
It should be right after "Illegal Alien Season", and should overlap with "Telemarketer Season".

All political contributions must be reported ONLINE within one day of their taking place and must include to whom they were made, amount, and name, address, and occupation of person who made them.

If you want a good grade, it should be something liberal.
What about a term of mandatory public service, like they have in Germany.

Repeal of the 17th Amendment. Public policy ought to dictate that the interest of the various state would be better represented if the legislatures selected Senators. It would remove much of the money from politics on a national level; at least in Senate races.
Might also consider that political contributions could only come from people living in the political subdivisions associated with the office.
