No, because I still know he will be the toughest on law and order. Fred Thompson plays a prosecutor on TV (was he a prosecutor before he played one - don’t know). Did he KNOW all the dirt about Kerik before he pushed for him (somewhat like did all the Republicans know all the bad sh** about Jack Abramoff before they asociated with him?) If you say, well he SHOULD have known, then you can say the same for any President and the people he ends up associating with, or had associated with..they should have known.

Immigration...looks like his policy does not differ that much from the views of President George W. Bush. It also looks like he does not seem to have a plan, so I agree with you on that; however - living in SO CAL for years and years before coming to PA, I think that with immigration, we perhaps SHOULD look at a guest worker program. Because I do not see Americans willing to be bent over from sun up to sun down willing to pick strawberries and lettuce. I just don’t.

Sure. He’ll be tough on law and order.

Do you know he has illegally kept the records sealed from when he was mayor? He broke state law by providing illegals with welfare. He used public money to pay 6 $100K+ a year bodyguards to drive his mistress to the beauty parlor.

Oh, and maybe you should at least know the basics on a candidate before you try to disparage him. Ever hear of Watergate? Fred Thompson was on the Republican Watergate team.

Because I do not see Americans willing to be bent over from sun up to sun down willing to pick strawberries and lettuce. I just don’t.

The percentage of illegal immigrants working in the domestic agriculture industry is 2%. The percentage of illegal immigrants receiving welfare benefits is 41%.

We used to, before the wages dropped to third world levels.

Do you still see Americans driving tractor/trailers for a living? Those wages are dropping, thanks to the influx of border crashers who are willing to drive for third world wages. If the trend continues, you'll be saying the same things about truck drivers that you now say about farm workers.

When will it be enough? When they come for your job?

“Because I do not see Americans willing to be bent over from sun up to sun down willing to pick strawberries and lettuce. I just don’t.”

What about construction jobs. Truck driving jobs. Manufacturing jobs. Meat packing jobs.

What about THOSE jobs?

Those jobs that illegals are being paid pennies for because the cheapskate jackasses who own those companies won’t pay Americans normal wages for?

This is happening all over this country.

It’s not about berry picking anymore, it’s about ALL jobs.

It’s also not “just” about jobs anymore, it’s about the security of this Nation. So long as that border remains a leaking sieve this country is at risk.

Anyone can claim to be in favor of the WOT. Closing those borders down tight as a drum would be the first indication I have seen that they were bloody serious about it.

Your tolerance to liberalism and incompetence is astounding.

My mother and her family did it before they moved up to share cropping, which of course meant more of the same.

There is no list of jobs that “Americans won’t do”, there are simply an ever growing number of jobs that they get pushed out of.

Even people that don’t know much about the working man have heard that construction is considered the backbone of the working man’s economy, yet that is the very field that most illegals are employed in.

Rudy?

I still know he will be the toughest on law and order.

RUDY???

I'm not convinced. I have yet to see anywhere Rudy has pushed for execution of child molesters or advocated legislation that would permit it.

If Rudy the prosecutor didn't push for the death penalty (or at least advocate its NY state legalization) in homicide cases, he was either a tool of, or a tooler of, the Marxist stealth philosophy that wants a lot of prisons with a lot of unionized prison guards to vote a certain way...and felon prisoners to vote for your friends as soon as you can get them out for good behavior.

Consequences that don't include capital punishment for homicides are extended time-outs--and serve to advance the Current Communist Goals. Until proven otherwise, I consider Rudy a Cultural Marxist.
