I’m sure that if the conservatives give up and vote for Giuliani that would be detrimental in the long run to conservatism.

If Rudy does win, and he does for DC what he did for NYC -- where does that leave FR?

This is a line in the sand being drawn here. Ya'll are betting all or nothing on Rudy being a demon.

I don't see what you see. I see Rudy as a social liberal, political conservative. He could end up being a great conservative president.

And I wonder, if that happens, what does that do to the credibility of all those here?

Nothing. It still leaves us with our principles that we refuse to compromise. But I doubt anyone can be a great conservative president while being socially liberal. It is an oxymoron.

“If Rudy does win, and he does for DC what he did for NYC — where does that leave FR?”

What he did for nyc- - hassle law abiding gun owners, take away their ability to own guns, trash the first amendment, spend like a drunken sailor once he has the tax money, speak at NARAL lunches, and give special treatment and services to illegal aliens?

Boy, what a great conservative president that would be!!!

“And I wonder, if that happens, what does that do to the credibility of all those here?”

Their warnings about rudy will be shown to have been correct.

I see Rudy as a social liberal, political conservative.

They have a name for that affliction.

I see him as a social liberal, political liberal. He's the only Republican presidential contender in years that I could foresee (possibly) switching parties (to the Dem. side) while in office if it is politically advantageous. Based upon his record, I don't believe that he would fight for conservative principals, particularly if congress is controlled by the Democrats. He certainly wouldn't fight for conservative court nominees.

And JimRob finally drew that line in the sand. Not that it hasn't always been there, just that its been covered up for TOO long. On one side of that line are us conservatives. On the other side are the RudyBoosters and liberal RudyLoons. You told me the other day, in the end you'd vote for Rudy. So which side of that line do you stand?

Rudy is a liberal gun grabbing abortionist. In the eyes of conservatives that makes him evil. But I don't think he's a demon. Well, on second thought .....

>>>>He could end up being a great conservative president.

You're delusional.

I smell opus. Is there one coming?

You're here. Still. What does that do to YOUR credibility?
