George Allen made the same mistake that Imus made. While unlike Imus, George Allen was not being racist, however he caved too easily to the liberal media and the rest of his campaign became nothing but an “Im sorry” tour.
So do I. What a shame that this happened to him and this country.
I don’t. At least he dropped the ball now rather than in the 08 general elections.
Why? He was no Reagan. He was a doofus jock fratboy type who proved he does not have the mettle under real campaign pressure. He was not a deep thinker as Reagan was.
I miss George Burns. BUt I also miss Allen.
Hunter and Thompson are both good men. So is Huckabee.
Right there with you. He was a terrific senator; made me proud to be a Virginian. Have met him a number of times. He is a good man and would make a fantastic president. I hear he’s thinking of running for governor again, so thankfully we haven’t seen the last of him.
