“Good folks getting purged for supporting the ‘wrong’ GOP candidate. “

Apparently you didn’t read far enough.

That was not the reason they were banned.

Jim Rob even specifically stated that people who supported Rudy just needed to be honest about it. But the problem was, in their zeal to support Rudy, they also began to bash conservatives such as Ronald Reagan.

So before you slink off in abject fear, maybe you should read more and then make a determination of WHY they were banned.

The bashing of Reagan and other conservatives was also not confined solely to this thread. The Reagan bashing, posting of false accusations about other candidates, incessant posting of duplicate threads, and posting of outright lies has been going on for months.

Up until this thread you couldn't open FR without being inundated with any article that made a passing reference to Giuliani. There have been threads dedicated to such enlightening subjects as the outcome of a poll at a local GOP pancake breakfast and the posting of a pro-Giuliani article from a college newspaper in which the author was unable to correctly name the candidates. A pro-Giuliani poster on this thread attempted to refute another poster by cutting and pasting an entire section of the Giuliani campaign website.

I personally have no problem with anyone supporting whomever they choose, but perhaps the owner of FR has decided he doesn't want his website turned into an outpost of the Giuliani campaign and rightfully so.

True. Since I have seen posts on this thread suggesting that discussion of the negatives of a candidate's record or position on issues is in violation of Reagan's "Eleventh Commandment," I would like to add that "bash" was reflected by misrepresenting, mischaracterizing, and or presenting facts out of context--and/or flat out lying. Discussing positives and negatives of all candidates should be encouraged but it needs to be done in an honest, forthright and accurate manner (imo).
