My pecking order (among truly viable candidates, which leaves out Tancredo, Hunter, Newt, and Brownback) is:
Fred Thompson
Mitt Romney
Rudy
. . . it would be a real struggle to vote for McCrazy. He has just been too dishonest. At least Rudy tells you what he's for, even if you don't like it.
But the top three? I'll gladly vote for any, and likely be willing to WORK for any to defeat the Dems.

Hunter showed third in yesterday's South Carolina straw polls. Even when the top two changed to one of three different people, Hunter was still always third. It may be early to completely dismiss him.

I have already said I would vote for anyone who wins the nomination. I will even vote for Tancredo or McCain, as I think any Republican is better than any democrat. For one thing, our side has a better chance of nominating someone conservative in cabinet positions and judgeships; the democrats will do everything they can to nominate the opposite.
I will vote for Rudy or Hunter if they win the nomination. I am all about keeping democrats OUT of the whiteHouse.

You and I have the same list, except mine has Ted Nugent in second...
For me, Winning the War is the #1 issue, the Economy is a close #2, and #3 is Judge appointments.
Thompson is the best on all three. He need to run.
