Jim the City of New York has been a festering sewer of modern day socialism for the better part of a century. Anyone with two functioning brain cells to rub together knows that.
Giuliani is just the latest face plastered onto the Rockefeller "Us To Just Not So Fast" wing of the party. They've never met a conservative they actually liked, let alone an actual conservative principle they would support.
Rudy doesn't know anything but socialism. It's in his blood.
He wants to spend taxpayer money on abortions.
He wants to spend taxpayer money on illegal immigrants for reasons other than incarcerating them long enough to turn them over for deportation.
He wants the Federal Government to restrict my right to keep and bear arms.
He wants the Federal Government to regulate my political speech.
Yet when Rudy finds it desirable, he blatantly ignores a USSC ruling he disagrees with. Wouldn't you like to be able to ignore Court rulings you disagree with?
I know there's a few dozen I'd like to ignore.
If Rudy were the Dem front runner nearly every single poster on this board would be excoriating him for being and screaming to the skies to expose him for the rank socialist he so obviously is.
The only ones who would stick up for him would be the usual instantly indentified, targeted, and fried trolls.
And I don't mean to seem impertinent, but I really dislike the term 'federally funded'. The Feds don't fund jack. We do.
Thanks.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled flame war.

As always - a light in the darkness, in the middle of Zot.
Conservatives cite the DANGERS of a big, all-controlling, all-knowing, authoritarian, 'government knows best' type of liberal government.

“...I really dislike the term ‘federally funded’. The Feds don’t fund jack. We do.”
One of the best speeches about moral, fiscal conservatism ever made...

“...We have the right as individuals, to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity; but as members of Congress we have no right to appropriate a dollar of the public money....
...We cannot without the grossest corruption, appropriate this money as the payment of a debt. We have not the semblance of authority to appropriate it as charity. Mr. Speaker, I have said we have the right to give as much money of our own as we please. I am the poorest man on this floor. I cannot vote for this bill, but I will give one week’s pay to the object, and if every member of Congress will do the same, it will amount to more than the bill asks.”
Of course, Rudy is a LIBERAL. He ran on the liberal ticket in 1994. NYC is so far to the left, Bloomberg, is a Republican.
Why are people fooled because he has (R) after his name?
He’s in favor of sanctuary for illegal aliens. In violation of federal law. This was in his 2nd term, when he couldn’t run again. He is not only in favor of abortion, he wants you and me to pay for it.
He’s against crime, and is good on the WOT. Well, big whoop. EVERY Republican candidate has the same position.
Again, why should we nominate Rudy?
OH sorry, I remember now, its because he can WIN. That’s what they said about Ford, Bush I, and Dole.
Nominate Rudy and you can kiss the South and the Midwest goodbye. His nomination would tear the GOP apart and GUARANTEE President Hillary’s election.
Any conservative who supports Rudy is a fool.
