Yep, that’s pretty bad polling, and it shows that the strategy of 2006 of running away from conservatism did NOT bring people to the party.
And it shows that Rudy has NO COATTAILS. Rudy is supposedly the savior, the consumate cross-over candidate that will entice people back to republicans.
Well, he’s got the most name recognition, he’s leading in the polls, he “beats hillary” in polls, and what has he done for republicans?
Given us polls that show that fewer people than ever plan to vote republican (except apparently for Rudy).
We need a candidate who, when he speaks, espouses conservative principles that will lead people back to what is right, and bring voters back to the party of principle, the party with the ideas that work, the party that will keep government off your back, keep your money in your own pocket, protect innovation, liberty, freedom, and the life of all people, born and pre-born.
Rudy gives no voter a reason to “vote republican”, since he isn’t very republican.
What swayed the election, was the high numbers of Independent/Swing voters who turned out. They are moderates but lean Liberal. Very few elections were lost because the Republican was not conservative enough. The opposite is true. (Source: American Research Group & Pew research, non partisan) The results were taken from actual voter statistics and were not an exit poll.
