He was a big supporter of Clinton's 1994 Crime Bill, including the Assault Weapons Ban. In fact, Clinton was so inspired by Giuliani's thoughts on national licensing of guns that he had him consult with Janet Reno before its drafting.

Good point. Yes, I meant something like that, but obviously something he did that made us safer, not less safe.
