The thread took a dramatic turn for the better around post 16,301 and it lasted until about 17,150. It was doing pretty well for a while. People were willing and able to mend fences, or at least tried. But that was criticized, too.
Once the cookie recipes started getting traded, it was on it’s way to dying out. (BTW, thanks for the great recipes, T’wit) Why couldn’t some have just left it well enough alone instead of criticizing it? All that happened was that the pot got stirred again and now we’re back to pre-post 16,301, sort of.
Cookie recipes? There IS hope for this thread!
Because I had / have some things to say. Curious, is your computer broken? Or is somebody holding you at gunpoint to read the thread?
Complaining about the content of THIS thread is about the lamest thing I have seen in a long time.

Wait till you try my authentic Scottish shortbread. Then if you jigger the recipe just a little and substitute malted milk powder (which is mostly flour anyway) for a cup of the regular flour, ooh, they are wonderfully malty, sweeter, and ready to melt in your mouth.
