Man, I left the Columbia,MD area almost 2 years ago and moved to Western Maryland. I love it hear. I see 6-12 deer a day, I have red-headed woodpeckers, turkey, cardinals, a new blue jay family...and even a bear that I hear but haven’t seen yet, all I see from my deck. There is also a woodpecker that i haven’t ID’d yet. It has blue feathers.
We lived in Maryland when I was 6 and 7.
Still remember the magnificent cherry blossoms “;^)
Are you west of Hagerstown? Hancock? Or is that not considered Western Maryland today? ;^)
I’m getting ready to set up my bird feeders. I planted a crabapple just for the birds...and I suspect to do some other planting for my wild friends...
