Gay people, and what they do, don't hurt me. They don't hurt my family. They don't interfere with my rights to life and liberty and to own property. They do not interfere with my right to practice my religion. These things are the main points of Locke's take on natural law, which is one of the major foundations of the documents of our country.
They do when they enter the public square, demanding special rights and the opportunity to forcefeed your children the idea that their self-destructive lifestyle is not only normal but a positive good.
Hence the problem.
There are a number of lifestyles and habits that I find odious. But I expect conservatives, much more than liberals, to know the difference between "Lifestyle X is repellent to me" and "Lifestyle X should be punished by the state's police power".
In addition to the Moral Absolutes ping list, I inherited the Homosexual Agenda ping list from scripter. I have read more about what homosexuals want, what they do, their agenda, than most people would ever imagine. The lie that “they just want to live in peace and not bother me” won’t fly with me.
If you think that the radical “gay” agenda is not trying to (with so far great success) ruin the entire country (and other countries) via hate crimes laws, homosexual foster parents and adoptions, trying to get homosexuals in positions of leadership in the Boy Scouts, homosexual Big Brothers and Big Sisters, homosexual priests taking over seminaries, “Gay” Pride parades and other displays, domestic partnerships/civil unions/”gay” marriage, homosexual clubs and other indoctrination in schools, laws mandating forced so-called sensitivity training, and so on and so on, one of two things applies.
You either are unbelievably ignorant, or you think the above (very partial) list of homosexual “rights” is just fine.
