The analogy is not intellectually sound;
If you support Rudy, based on your own post, you are an liberal, or a whore, or just plain obtuse. Speaking of obtuse, Mr. Bush wins the award for that, with his profligate spending, and slobbering endorsement of illegal aliens.
I support neither Rudy nor Bush. Both of them have rejected much of what I consider conservatism. But I have no personal disrespect for either, nor for their supporters.
