I totally disagree. We had a spirited debate about the candidates.
Which should be a good thing.
It was a bit early, starting in February of 2007, but what the heck, Freepers look ahead.
We still haven’t had a Republican candidate debate and it’s now April.
The incivility began when it was made plain here that you can’t support a particular candidate. I’m not sure you can even be undecided at this time about that candidate.
It’s not quite that cut and dried, but the message is unmistakeable, and the lunatics running around trying to get people who have been members here for nine or ten years is utterly disgusting.
Well, guys, it worked. High fives all around!
Now what?
Indeed.
I'm afraid I can't agree with you there, friend. From where I sit, it began when a group of folks foisted a faux-conservative on others and insisted that this is the only candidate capable of beating Hillary (and that any debate on the matter during this primary season would only strengthen the Dems).
The incivility began when it was made plain here that you cant support a particular candidate.
***No, the incivility began a few months ago when a bunch of activists for a socially liberal candidat started agitating on this socially conservative forum. Go back over the rudy threads from a few weeks ago and you’ll see it that they were denigrating socons and other conservatives like Reagan to bolster their candidate. Now they have their own forum and they can be as mean as they want to eachother & support whatever liberal scheme strikes their fancy.
