If Free Republic was to move back on a more conservative track for the 2008 election cycle, purging this forum of undesirables was a necessity. This forum has always been hostile towards liberals and liberalism. Its the job of all FReepers to advance conservatism, promote conservative candidates and defend the Constitution. For too long the conservative goals and objectives of this forum have been undermined and that needed to stop.

I saw that purging may be a necessity sooner but not the regular long time members, who contributed time and money. Look at the times during Shiavo. Many were new and cruel without providing valid points and never banned. Just my humble opinion. They signed up just then and had their say and were not banned. Howling and Peach were vocal with point and definitely republican. The front page does say republican? As a member who has donated and who is Republican, what might make me undesirable?
