Aloha Ladie's!

As the posts have run over 10,000 and I'm not about to read 'em all, please do me a favor and explain why Giulilani is the target of denigration from a middle of America view.

First things first....
Giuliani is a leader.
Giuliani is proved as tough on crime.
Giuliani really is a pretty decent man.

This doesn't present an endorsement for Rudy. Personally, I don't think he'll get the nod. His public theatrical antics while made in fun in NYC have stained him nationally. His stance on gun control is grounded in controlling crime in NYC.....and separated from the national, Second Amendment right to bear arms.

If it finally comes to a choice between Hillary and Rudy Rudy is a New Yorker. He was the Mayor of New York when times were really tough.....before and after September 11th. Rudy walked the walk. This to his credit.

While I don't think he will be nominated, I just don't like him smeared by our side.

Primaries matter too. Should it come to Hillary vs Rudy, where would you go?

>>>>>Giuliani really is a pretty decent man.

BS!

Rudy is an abortionist. That one issue makes him an evil man and a horrible human being. The major goals of this forum is to advance conservatism, promote conservative candidates and defend then Constitution. FR opposes all forms of liberalism. FR doesn't exist as a liberal debate society either. To that end, we will be working hard at taking down the candidacy of Rudy the liberal.

Now read this wonderful thread posted by the owner of Free Republic and get educated on the subject matter of liberalism versus conservatism. Just remember the mission of FR as posted on our homepage.

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our borders, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

Giuliani is a leader.

A liberal leader. Why do you want to pull the country in behind a liberal leader?

Giuliani is proved as tough on crime.

He flaunted the law to protect hundreds of thousands of lawbreakers: foreign nationals who have crashed our national gates. "Tough on Crime"? Squeegee men, maybe, but that's pathetic in the larger scheme of things.

Giuliani really is a pretty decent man.

Actually not.

“Giuliani really is a pretty decent man.”

Off the top of my head I can’t think of any of the measures that I use in determining a decent man that Rudy meets.

The thing that makes us admire Reagan so much is that when you look past his success in all the ways the general public know about him, wealth, fame, power, etc., we learn that his personal, private life was just as rich, and reveals him as a truly decent man.

From his extraordinary and dangerous service as the regions most successful lifeguard to his degree in economics, his personal drives were always combined with service to others.

The only time that Reagan tried to beat the system was to somehow manage to pull off nine years of military service in spite of a disqualifying medical condition.

Rudy is financially successful and a celebrity, and and a great Mayor of that liberal cesspool of New York (sorry, NY people, but remember the context).

The man seems to have no character or decency, and during his successful career as a lawyer on the fast track to bigger things, I’m not aware of any time he spent on quiet, decent, humble service to anything but his garish self.

He is a wealthy, powerful man, but he is not a decent man.

"Giuliani really is a pretty decent man."

Any 'man' who thinks that murdering an unborn child is not as serious as murdering a child already living is NOT 'decent', and is no man.

Speaking of decency, Giuliani had this to say about another so-called 'decent man':

"I don't think tonight's result is tragic,...I think President Clinton is a good man, he's a very decent man, and the country has run pretty well."
--Rudolph Giuliani, commenting on Bob Dole's loss in the 1996 presidential election. New York Times, Nov 7, 1996

"Most of [President] Clinton's policies are very similar to most of mine"
--Rudolph Giuliani, New York Post, Jun 8, 1999
(restating RWG quote from 1996)

You were saying...?
