I am anti-abortion...period.
My interest lies in whether or not this passage regarding common law applies and, it's effects (or lack of), on our politic.
I want to know, specifically, if those who are better educated and wiser than I am, think this is the basis of acceptance of abortion in our Country.

No, I don’t.
The acceptance of abortion in our country comes much later and grows from a different direction, rooted in the feminist movement.
