Rudy is an enemy to the US Constitution and to conservatism and his supporters should be ashamed of themselves for promoting an enemy to the cause.
This is about principle.
This is not about party.

Way to go Jim!
I am sick of the “I’ll vote for any Republican” contingent. Electing a RINO just means a slightly slower slide into socialism.

Someone posted you just banned quidnunc after nine years. Or is someone just spreading socialist, tyrannical, totalitarian rumors?

What you said. I used to call myself a broken glass Republican. Frankly, since 1996, when Bob Dole was nominated because it was his turn, (an honest guy, I believe, but no conservative) who had no fire in his belly to run for President, we got 4 more years of klintoon. Heck, even in 2000, GWB was the best the ‘pubs could come up with? Now, the old Rockefeller, country club wing is in charge. God help us and this nation.

Jim, I don't get the point of the post... I understand the importance of the conservative priciples... and I agree with most of the positions you laid out.
Just not sure if your intention is to kick out any differing views here on FR.
Also thought the timing odd, right after hitting the campaign mark.
I don't support Giuliani. However, I see 'anyone' LEFT of Duncan Hunter painted as a left wing, RINO, commie Marxist by some on FR.
I personally appreciate Freepers making their case for their candidates. All too often turning into a negative slam fest and name calling.
And I will vote for whatever REPUB candidate that goes against Hillary/Obama.

Bottom line, Rudy is a survivable presidency for the US. A democrat with a probable demcrat house and senate is not.
If Rudy wins the primary, then you must support him.
If Rudy wins the primary, and you support the democrat or an unelectable 3rd party, then I am out of here and probably more than just me because we love the US, and opposing Rudy after the primary is supporting the destruction of the US as we know it.

“Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?”
Free Republic might, but I never will.

I’m with you Jim. As I have stated many times in the past, given a choice between Hillary and Rudy, I’d take Hillary. Either would do serious harm to the country, but Rudy would also do serious harm to the GOP. Besides, if Hillary wins, we won’t have to look at pictures of Rudy in drag for the next 4 years.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems. All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will.
THANKS TONS for telling it like it is, Boss. Now, what can we do beyond what we've been doing? What we've been doing seems so inadequate to the challenges you've articulated so well.
How do we motivate the troops from the discouragement and maliaise that seems to have descended over so many. Then, what major tasks do we focus on? The liberal globalist tide sometimes seems like a Tsunami. How do we maximize the effectiveness of our efforts in the wisest ways possible?
Thanks for all you are and all you stand for. Thanks for standing in the gap for our Republic and our founding values and Constitution.
Thanks for letting us love you in our feeble flawed ways.
