The essence of Government is power; and power, lodged as it must be in human hands, will ever be liable to abuse. — James Madison
What I am learning is that “banning” is not some modern invention to throw out rudy supporters.
This site has a history of banning people who were long-time major contributers.
Which just means that people change, get different priorities, get tired of following rules, and off they go. Not to death or to a better place, they are still around, just not posting with their old screen names.
Power is not alluring to pure minds. - Thomas Jefferson
To sit back hoping that someday, some way, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last — but eat you he will.—Ronald Reagan
“Yes, I know you would. Now, when would a conservative ever even consider voting for Satan?”
Game, set, and match.
Heheh...
I'm beginning to understand the group dynamics behind lynching.
Marking my place for morning. Don’t anybody have to much fun while I’m gone.
I think that with immigration, we perhaps SHOULD look at a guest worker program. Because I do not see Americans willing to be bent over from sun up to sun down willing to pick strawberries and lettuce. You're pretending that the Mexicans were imported because Americans stopped picking produce. Bull! American's stopped picking produce because the Mexicans flooded the market and dropped the wages down to third world levels.
Now you're advocating making it a permanent, legally sanctioned venture. Whose jobs are you hoping to give to the Mexicans next? Yours?
Matthew 23:1-36. Jesus didn’t call his detractors “assholes” but full of rotten corpses, blood on their hands, snakes, worthy of hell, leading others to hell, etc. Pretty strong stuff for his forum. But you probably were just asking rhetorically, huh?
See you around post 8700 or so.
I saw that move coming.
“I saw that move coming.”
That was a wicked baseline smash.

As a man is said to have a right to his property, he may be equally said to have a property in his rights. Where an excess of power prevails, property of no sort is duly respected. No man is safe in his opinions, his person, his faculties, or his possessions.
James Madison
LOL...my thoughts exactly.
I think Keyes would have been a disaster as President, but while I’m glad Bush was elected, a lot of the complaints about him in those threads have kind of been born out.
Kind of scary in fact. Other than the “cokehead” argument, it’s pretty sound.
Oh well. I wasn’t around here in 2000.
Not exactly, Howlin is an admitted Rudy supporter.
