Disgusting. There’s simply no other word for what you just said.

"The question rudy supporters need to answer in addition to the myriad of questions I asked last night is this — is defeating hillary worth destroying the republican party?"

Excellent. My answer is NO. The nation survived Bill Clinton but the nation won't survive Guiliani and the Republican party is the guardian of the nation.

Social conservatism is anathema to Guiliani. But "abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc." is more dangerous to America's character than people blowing themselves up with car bombs.

That was a tough race. I don’t know who I would have voted for in that race. I think in the end I would have voted for the republican and prayed for Leiberman to win without me. But if it looked really close in the polls, I might have been persuaded to vote Leiberman simply because of the war on terror.

But in that case, I’d be voting for the democrat, instead of the republican, so at least I wouldn’t have been voting for a BAD REPUBLICAN that would hurt my own party.

And in November of 2008, I might vote for Rudy, but if I did it would be with the expectation that while the country might be better off than with Hillary, I’d be signing the death warrant for the conservative/republican movement, because Rudy would destroy the party.

That’s the difference. If it was November 8 and there were 3 candidates and they were a republican who couldn’t win no matter what, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Leiberman as a surprise 3rd-party candidate, I’d vote for Joe Leiberman.

Sorry, you got it wrong, very wrong. Truth is, if you nominate Rudy, you’ll have no one to blame but yourself...

Dear Central Scrutiniser and all RINO Rudy Supporters,

I want to thank you for your wonderful support in helping to get me elected POTUS. Bill and I are so thrilled to be back in the White House again. Your support for Rudy, and helping him to get nominated, was the key to me winning. Without your help Bill and I would not be here today.

Affectionately Yours,

President Hillary Rodman

P.S. I plan to nominate Rudy to the Supreme Court as soon as there is a vacancy. He will help us tilt the court back in our favor to assure that millions more unborn babies will never see the light of day. After all, it’s every woman’s right!

P.P.S. As you may recall, my campaign slogan was, “We’re Going to Take Things Away From You on Behalf of the Common Good”. ALL YOUR POSSESIONS ARE BELONG TO ME-—YEEHAAAA!

Don’t come whining back to us when Hillary becomes POTUS.

“Those same Socialists, have complete control of the hearts and minds of the younger generations. We are now seeing the results of that control. Many of them hit voting age in the ‘06 elections. They are one of the reasons why the “Independent/swing” category is now outnumbering Republicans.”

Yup. The socialists have been quite successful in winning on their terms. Why do you think the heavy emphasis and investment in government schools? The socialists aren’t having the children, but they’re being given the responsibility for educating them. The irony is that while generally conservative families have gone through the expense and effort of having kids, it’s the socialists who have come to benefit from it.

“Which is why many of us here still believe that only a moderate candidate from either party can win in ‘08.”

I take a longer term view of things. I’m not a Republican and have few sympathies for the GOP as an organization. I recognize that I’m in the small (but growing) minority in that point of view. I also realize that most individuals view conservatism as being inextricably tied to the GOP. So while I think that one of the best things for conservatives to do in the long run would be to divorce themselves from the GOP and start a second political party, I do not view that as likely.

What is likely to happen is what you suggest. Conservatives will continue to swallow their bile and support the lesser of two evils, while trying hard to ignore the fact that the “lesser” is gettting progressively worse with each electoral cycle. Conservatism in the electoral sphere thus dies not from losing elections, but from a thousand little cuts and compromises. The end result is still the same.

So given that conservatism is not winning through electoral means these days, what are conservatives to do? I suggest looking for other ways to win that don’t directly involve electoral R vs D politics. The gunnies have a political formula that seems to work. I suggest more conservatives start emulating it. There are also some very sucessful models for teaching the next generation that home educators are implementing. I suggest we emulate those as well. And so on.

>>>>>>Geeez Jim. Peach contributes more to the forum than most. Even when I disagree with her, her viewpoints are valuable. The forum benefits from the likes of her.

You can't be serious. Where have you been lately?

For the last few years Peach has been contributing posts that employed falsehoods to trash Ronald Reagan. For the last eight months or so, Peach and other RudyLoons have been running around conservative FR pushing the liberal Rudy Giuliani. Peach has been comparing Rudy with Reagan, in a ridiculous attempt to say that Rudy and Reagan are politically one in the same. When everyone knows, Reagan and Rudy come from opposite ends of the political speptrum.

Peach offers nothing to the age old debate between conservatism and liberalism. When you advance a liberal candidate, you're advancing liberalism. That does conservatism absolutely no good. In fact, it actually undermines conservatism.

Peach was begging to get banned and Jim obliged her indirect request, DIRECTLY!

I agree, but no one learned from the last congressional election, guess it will take a blowout on the presidential election to figure it out.

There you go again. Conservatism = bad. More liberalism = good. If you want to preach that we should become more liberal, maybe you should do that somewhere other than a conservative forum.

You won't have to be raped or murdered, if you pick up a weapon and stand a post.

My .45 is in the shop getting serviced after jamming at the memorial shoot in Texas last week, so I am reduced to chosing between my .44 special or my 9mm. I think either one of them would do a sufficient enough job :)

Where, I’m reading every post, and I’ve seen 3 so far, one said he’d vote for a democrat but it didn’t say hillary, and later said he’d stay home; one said he’d “elect hillary” but not that he’d vote for her, and the 3rd said he’d give her money, but not that he’d vote for her.

You can't be serious.

Some express their opposition as hate. I disagree with that sentiment. I don’t hate Rudy. I believe he would do serious damage to our conservative/republican party if he won the presidency.

I dislike his character, his morals, his stand on over half the issues of importance to me. I dislike the people he hangs out with, his attitude, his smugness, his self-righteous authoritarianism.

For a liberal, he’s very good on taxes, on fiscal discipline, on support for most law and order. There are things I like about him enough that I would hold some hope for the country if he were president.

I’d rather have a president from our party that was BETTER for the country, and didn’t destroy my party.

Last few weeks? Try last few months.

Last couple years actually.

When I see comments like "But I would vote for a trained chimpanzee if it meant keeping Hillary out of the White House", I am reminded how out of touch a society can become. Reminds me of one culture that chose Barabas over Jesus....

“And how many of your 199 murdered babies will become underclass drains on the society?”

Let’s speculate. Life is cheap nowadays.
Maybe one cures cancer. Maybe another creates a small business tht employees tens of thousands over 20 years. If the infantacide left wants to kill babies, let them do it based on their bs theories of jurisprudence. And let them do it with their own money

Yes, just like when conservatives voted for that nut Perot and put that joke Clinton into office.

You can't possbily back that up with any sort of statistics or polling.
