I was hoping you could clarify that.
I'm really not sure how much I clarified, but that's okay. I'm for free markets, but when the market we're buying from because it's cheap comes up and kicks us in the a$$, then it's time to reevaluate.
I was working for awhile today; ironically in the pet food business. On the way home I was listening to 'Market Watch' and how we have a $248 billion (or so) trade deficit with China. The administration is working on this, but it's a long, drawn-out affair. Anyway, it amounts to this; the Chinese are importing $248 billion/year more into our economy than we export to theirs. And one wonders; how much of this is crap, and dangerous to our way of life, in the way of foodstuffs or food ingredients?
Now, I'm not one for embargo's, or tariffs, but I think our trade situation with China needs a major reevaluation.
