Guess you also missed Rudy's statement the other day agreeing with the recent SCOTUS ruling on partial birth abortion.

He said he liked the ruling. I didn't hear him say he was opposed to partial birth abortion. You do know there is a difference, right?

If he DID say he was now opposed to partial birth abortion, that represents an untested flip-flop on the position, and for Rudy, one of a growing chain of flip-flops.

HILLARY: ‘Erosion of our constitutional rights’...
GIULIANI: ‘I agree with it’...
OBAMA: ‘I strongly disagree’...
ROMNEY: ‘A step forward’...
MCCAIN: I’m very happy...
EDWARDS: ‘I could not disagree more strongly’...

“I agree with it” means what? That he believes Congress has the power to ban such a procedure?

OR

That Congress should ban such a procedure?

I have not seen him specify which he meant. Rudy’s most recent position on partial birth abortion was to favor it.

Yes, I do think Rudy has indicated that he thinks PBA should be banned as long as there is an exception to save the life of the mother.

Why dont you accuse Fred of flip flopping on abortion?

I still like them both. There is probably not a single politician who does not have a situation akin to this in his record.

First abortion, then (some) guns, now immigration, by December he might have his impersonation of a conservative down pat.

" Oh, please, let me sound conservative. Who knew I'd need those
'dumb pro-life Christian conservatives' to make a primary showing?

They're killing me on FR just b/c I had three wives, several mistresses,
was honored by NARAL, donated to Planned Parenthood, and marched
for gay rights under the NAMBLA banner."

If he’s thinking like Bush on immigration.....that’s all I need to know.

What else can he say!

At least Giuliani is in good company when it comes to flippity flopping. Up there with the best of 'em.

Rooty flows with the tides. He is a bigger flip flopper than Jon Cary. He can’t even pretend he was in Vietnam.

Geesh Rudy, by now we know you are nothing but a pretender.

The Rudytanic has hit too many icebergs. What next? Will Rudy claim he can save all those Polar bears?

Rudy needs a life boat, even that won’t protect him from the waves of conservatives that know he is not much other than a little dinghy. ( forgive me if I spelled that wrong, I live inland)

Guess you also missed Rudy's statement the other day agreeing with the recent SCOTUS ruling on partial birth abortion.

I saw that.

Rooty was just having another temporary blackout trying to dupe voters into thinking he's one of them. Stay tuned----Rooty will issue a retraction faster than you can say "dilation and curettage on the taxpayers" dime."

Rooty is joined at the hip with the most radical elements of the pro-abort crowd. They'll NEVER let their boy off the leash. Rooty stays in Abortion Obedience School.

A LOOK AT RUDY'S RADICAL PRO-ABORTION HISTORY IS A GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE

NARAL Honored Mayor Rudy for his pro-abortion efforts---he was the honored guest speaker and made The Opening Remarks at NARAL's "Champions of Choice" luncheon, The Yale Club, Thursday, April 5th, 2001.

NARAL trusted Rudy's pro-abortion credentials, and Rudy's willingness to advance NARAL's radical abortion-on-demand agenda.

From the FEC database: 04/24/1999
Donations New York State NARAL, Inc Women's Health PAC

NARAL donated exclusively to Democrat candidates with one exception----Rudy Giuliani.

Giuliani got $1,000 from NARAL in 1999 while NARAL gave $250 to Hillary Rodham Clinton. NARAL gave $1000---4 times as much-----to pro-abortion Giuliani.

Giuliani's 1994 and 1998 tax returns show $500 in donations to Planned Parenthood, the country's largest abortion provider. In 1996, Mayor Giuliani issued a proclamation declaring "Planned Parenthood Day" in New York City, while praising the group's founder, eugenicist Margaret Sanger.

In a CNN interview, Giuliani indicated he does not support even a modest ban on the gruesome partial-birth abortion procedure saying, "No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing." Giuliani also indicated he would have upheld President Clinton's veto of the partial-birth abortion ban.

"Guess you also missed Rudy's statement the other day agreeing with the recent SCOTUS ruling on partial birth abortion."

And there-in lies the rub. Does Rudy agree with the decision because Kennedy's opinion for the majority stated that he would revisit the ruling if the pro-PBA party could produce an "in-standing" case, someone whos life might be in danger if a PBA wasn't preformed. Or does he agree that PBA's should be banned?

Since less than a week ago he said he supported "Taxpayer-funded" abortions, my guess is he agrees with the "In-Standing" part. After all that's what he said from the beginning. So Rudy is Pro-Abort no matter what the Rudy-Bots would have us believe.

Right... Rudy wanted to keep Federal programs in place so it would not be a burden on NYC’s Hospital system NYC taxpayers who already paid the highest sales tax in the state plus Federal, State and City Income tax!

“long as there is an exception to save the life of the mother.”
Most pro-abortion canddates of either party use this phrase and really mean to include the “mental health of the mother”(? If you abort, are you a mother ?).
In other words, abortions for any reason are permitted as long as you say the mental health is endangered. I have no stats, but I do not think that the percentage of women who would die if their baby is brought to term is very large.

Why dont you accuse Fred of flip flopping on abortion?

Let's see here:

Rudy: 100% NARAL rating, praised the work of Margaret Sanger, and thinks taxpayer-funded abortion is a constitutional right.

Fred: 0% NARAL rating and a Pro-Life record in the Senate.

If you've changed your mind on a certain subject, you follow through with action. If you're only flip-flopping, then you're saying stuff you don't believe in for the sake of getting votes.

If Fred was once Pro-Choice, he's changed his mind.

Rudy has always been an ardent supporter of abortion, through words and deed. That he's talking differently now, in the middle of an election cycle, screams 'flip-flop' to me.

I’m pro-choice. I’m pro-gay rights, Giuliani said. He was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions. “No, I have not supported that, and I don’t see my position on that changing,” he responded. Source: CNN.com, “Inside Politics” Dec 2, 1999 http://www.ontheissues.org/2008/Rudy_Giuliani_Abortion.htm

ANDERSON COOPER 360 DEGREES (November 14, 2006)

RUDY GIULIANI (R), FORMER MAYOR OF NEW YORK CITY: I'm pro- choice. I'm pro-gay rights.

KING: Giuliani supports a woman's right to an abortion, and back in 1999, he opposed a federal ban on late-term abortions.

GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.

KING: Immigration could be another presidential landmine. Back in 1996, Mayor Giuliani went to federal court to challenge new federal laws requiring the city to inform the federal government about illegal immigrants.

JEFFREY: He took the side of illegal immigrants in New York City against the Republican Congress.

KING: Giuliani opposes same-sex marriage but as mayor, he supported civil unions and extending health and other benefits to gay couples. He also supported the assault weapons ban and other gun control measures opposed by the National Rifle Association.

GIULIANI: I'm in favor of gun control. I'm pro-choice.

Republican Big-Wigs Support Pro-Abortion Event in NY

Pro-abortion Governor George Pataki and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who also supports unrestricted abortion, are co-chairs of the 2000 Choice Award Presentation to be held on May 30 at the St. Regis Hotel in New York City. The event is sponsored by the Republican Pro-Choice Coalition, a group that is campaigning for the removal of the pro-life plank from the Republican National Platform.

“accuse Fred of flip flopping on abortion? “
Why yes, he became pro-life quite awhile ago.
I don’t have the link handy, but maybe spiff or napkin user does:
Fred Thompson = 0% from NARAL
Rooody = 100% from NARAL.

Please don’t drink the rudy-aid.
