In the Florida Panhandle, much of the gooberment lands are now spotted with areas used for growing grass. That’s grass for urban socialist cattle, not bovines.

Giving land to goobers in the gooberment is, to paraphrase P.J. O’Rourke, “like giving car keys and alcohol to teen aged boys.”

There are sound reasons for the strict limitations on government ownership of land which were knowingly and deliberately written into the Constitution.

We ignore those restrictions at our own risk. Worse, we also needlessly indebt our descendants.

Thanks for the PJ O’Rourke quote! One can never have too many.
