when he fought with his older sister, Sun-Kyung Cho, his actions spoke volumes. Relatives say he punched her with shocking force.

As one of five, I got into rumbles with my siblings and have the scars to prove it.

But nothing is remembered by me as "shocking."

Just because he began this behavior as a child does not mean that its roots weren't evil.

I've been thinking about this all week - the difference between evil and mental illness. At this precise second, I don't think I know. Perhaps it is intent. Or choice. Perhaps evil is a clear-headed choice. Whereas mental illness would be a choice based on other factors - such as brain pathology or social pathology. Cho: evil or mentally ill? At this moment, I don't think anyone knows.
