But it appears that the family of Waleed were not as concerned with the anonymity as you seem to be - since the anonymous writer was not out to impress you or anyone else, it’s his call.
I am not anonymous, and I am truthful. I have given my identity and address in postings -- years ago -- on this forum, as a matter of fact. There is no reason for me do so again, and there are many reasons not to do so.
I would prefer if those know my particulars to keep them private.
If -- if I was in the circumstance of one of those four students already named, already and currently publicly identified ... there then would be no reason to maintain my anonymity, and a very positive reason -- that is to vouchsafe this tale, to sign it, to validate it. That validation since it is an obvious way to honestly comfort the afflicted -- is the right and caring thing to do.
