The reality is, people get angry. You can only push a person so far until they go off the edge. I’m not saying I was always screamed and yelled at like that, but, there were heated occasions when horrible words were exchanged. And apologies exchanged afterwards. That’s LIFE. EVERYONE DOES IT. If you have never said something in anger that you regretted, then I bow before you and kiss your feet.
Read my post prior to this.
Adult to adult is one thing. But a Father doing this to an 11 year old girl will destroy her inside. Believe me when I say that if it is a pattern with him, she’s better off never being around him.
If your father hates you, no many living can love you. That becomes the mantra inside a girls head.
I have been pretty angry at my son at times, but I have never and would never berate him like Baldwin did his daughter.
“Thats LIFE. EVERYONE DOES IT.”
No, my friend, they don’t. Either you didn’t hear this on the radio, or your just plain stupid.
He should probably be jailed for that kind of abuse.
Do not dignify this evil behavior by saying that 'everyone does it.'
As an adopted mother I can assure you that I would never have passed a home study if such behavior was documented in my past. And as a human being, I am saddened that you think this is normal behavior for a parent. It is not. I can not believe the rationalizations that I have been reading. If Alec Baldwin was upset about his inability to talk to his daughter, why didn’t he simply say so. Further, I did not hear him say one time how much he loved her. Face it, he is a control freak who thinks the whole world revolves around him.
What a sad perspective you have.
People do get angry and they yell. But most people have some ability to love.
That’s the difference. Alec Baldwin gave a rant that was about him. And what I heard is that he is narcissistic. A narcissist has a harder time to love, as he is all focused on covering for and overcompensating for his self hatred. He is about conditional love, which means that if she soothes his ego, all is right with the world.
That’s a far cry from the story of a good parent who lost it. The child gets punished, but the parent and child reconcile because there is love. There are hugs.
Did it sound to you like Alec Baldwin geniunely hugs his little girl?
