I agree with your recommendation. If you are not already aware of the work of an attorney named Andrew Vachss I highly recommend his lectures/writing regarding child abuse (you might want to Google him). He is an interesting ‘character’ but has ‘nailed’ the issue more completely than almost anyone, and this includes the wide-ranging work in the mental health industry.
I have read some brief articles in the pop press, but thanks for the recommendation to get into his stuff seriously. And best of luck with your work!
