Easy mistake. No big deal. FYI, we have two major launch complexes. KSC (Florida) and VAFB (California). The manned operation center (i.e. mission control) is at JSC (Texas). Marshall Space Flight Center (Alabama) propulsion research and major science stuff. Also a huge Shuttle support facility.
There are a few other lesser known locations;
Goddard (just north of D.C.), lots of unmanned research stuff
Ames (Sunnyvale Ca.) The big wind tunnels and is a science center
Poker Flats (Alaska) Aurora research and sounding rockets etc.
Wallops Flight Center (Virginia) Smaller research rockets
Dryden (Edwards AFB) Nasa flight research and Shuttle 747 mate/demate center
Glenn Research Center(formerly Lewis) (Lake Erie) Stuff like hypersonic flight etc.
Stennis (Mississippi) Rocket test facility.
I thought the Vandenburg facility was never completed...budget cuts.
I used to be an active member of the Johnson Space Center Astronomy Society...knew a bunch of people who worked at JSC or were contractors for there...hoping all this resolves cleanly...
