Rudy will be solid on the war, IMHO. But otherwise you’re right. If we’re planning to run a northeastern lib against a northeastern lib, we can bet we’ll have a President who will owe liberals a lot.

Mr. Giuliani will be solid on the war but what is that worth with a Congress even lefter than what we have now? What can he do with a rapidly shrinking military and zeroed out funds for the War? Mrs. Clinton would be better not quite so poor of outlook. She will engender a Repưblican and conservative Congress in 2010 that will oppose everything she does. Giuliani stands to get increasingly left Congresses for so long as he reigns and will work with them in a joyously "bipartisan" fashion except on the military and with that he will be ineffectual.
