TRAITOR!

Based on recent statements by Senator Harry Reid (D-NV) that “America is losing the war in Iraq”, the Democratic leader is giving a virtual middle finger to the troops on the ground in Iraq!

WASHINGTON (AP) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said Thursday the war in Iraq is “lost,” triggering an angry backlash by Republicans, who said the top Democrat had turned his back on the troops. The bleak assessment - the most pointed yet from Reid - came as the House voted 215-199 to uphold legislation ordering troops out of Iraq next year.

Reid said he told President Bush on Wednesday he thought the war could not be won through military force, although he said the U.S. could still pursue political, economic and diplomatic means to bring peace to Iraq.

“I believe myself that the secretary of state, secretary of defense and - you have to make your own decisions as to what the president knows - (know) this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday,” said Reid, D-Nev.

The people of Nevada should have some love for the country and bounce this f*%king traitor out of the senate - he is a traitor to his country and an absolute 100% embarrassment to Americans living and voting in Nevada. Does the GOP have any candidate and organization in that sand box?

This is exactly why our military commanders would refuse to go to war under a President that holds those views. People need to understand that it’s tough to enter a war if the military doesn’t trust its leadership. This is also the reason that about 2000 military officers resigned their commissions under the Clinton administration. They didn’t trust him.

I just cancelled my reservations for a week’s stay in Laughlin next month; I let the hotel and the chamber of commerce know why, too. My nephew was planning his wedding for this fall in Las Vegas. They just lost his business along with all the room reservations and other money that would have been spent by his guests, too.

Nevada won’t see another dime from me until Reid is gone.

He’s not the only traitor, there are 215 others.

The next time terrorists blow up a building, and there will be a next time thanks to traitors like these, I hope the families of the victims remember the words of the Harry Reids, Nazi Petrotski’s who made it all possible.

How true. Those are exactly my sentiments.

“I believe myself that the secretary of state, secretary of defense and - you have to make your own decisions as to what the president knows - (know) this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday,” said Reid, D-Nev.

In other words, Reid believes that SecState and SecDef -- and perhaps POTUS -- know they are sending men and women to die for no purpose.

We can't make fun of the French for being cheese eating surrender monkeys, can we? At least the French surrendered to Hitler and his armed forces after being beaten on the field of battle. Reid has surrendered to thugs who kill innocent Iraqis as well as some security forces of the coalition. He's a national disgrace.

A platform to stop the war, restore public liberty, unite the nation, stop military interference in elections, stop military arrest, end the disregard for prisoners of war and protect our brave soldiers and sailors.

Democratic Party Platform, 1864

Resolved, That in the future, as in the past, we will adhere with unswerving fidelity to the Union under the Constitution as the only solid foundation of our strength, security, and happiness as a people, and as a framework of government equally conducive to the welfare and prosperity of all the States, both Northern and Southern.
Resolved, That this convention does explicitly declare, as the sense of the American people, that after four years of failure to restore the Union by the experiment of war, during which, under the pretense of a military necessity of war-power higher than the Constitution, the Constitution itself has been disregarded in every part, and public liberty and private right alike trodden down, and the material prosperity of the country essentially impaired, justice, humanity, liberty, and the public welfare demand that immediate efforts be made for a cessation of hostilities, with a view of an ultimate convention of the States, or other peaceable means, to the end that, at the earliest practicable moment, peace may be restored on the basis of the Federal Union of the States.
Resolved, That the direct interference of the military authorities of the United States in the recent elections held in Kentucky, Maryland, Missouri, and Delaware was a shameful violation of the Constitution, and a repetition of such acts in the approaching election will be held as revolutionary, and resisted with all the means and power under our control.
Resolved, That the aim and object of the Democratic party is to preserve the Federal Union and the rights of the States unimpaired, and they hereby declare that they consider that the administrative usurpation of extraordinary and dangerous powers not granted by the Constitution — the subversion of the civil by military law in States not in insurrection; the arbitrary military arrest, imprisonment, trial, and sentence of American citizens in States where civil law exists in full force; the suppression of freedom of speech and of the press; the denial of the right of asylum; the open and avowed disregard of State rights; the employment of unusual test-oaths; and the interference with and denial of the right of the people to bear arms in their defense is calculated to prevent a restoration of the Union and the perpetuation of a Government deriving its just powers from the consent of the governed.
Resolved, That the shameful disregard of the Administration to its duty in respect to our fellow citizens who now are and long have been prisoners of war and in a suffering condition, deserves the severest reprobation on the score alike of public policy and common humanity.
Resolved, That the sympathy of the Democratic party is heartily and earnestly extended to the soldiery of our army and sailors of our navy, who are and have been in the field and on the sea under the flag of our country, and, in the events of its attaining power, they will receive all the care, protection, and regard that the brave soldiers and sailors of the republic have so nobly earned.

I think Mark Levin said on his show last night that Reid used to be a fairly conservative democrat. How times have changed......
