This drives me crazy...they could have earned a huge amount of respect by turning over what they got in the mail to the authorities as evidence, and then just reported it. But NOOOOoooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOO.....they had to broadcast it for ratings. I would say they should be ashamed, but shame infers character, morality, and integrity, and I know they have none of those qualities. I have to admit that I saw the original NBC report. After it was over, I knew I had witnessed the media at it's worst, that this killer got what he wanted (immortality), and that there would be copycats. I didn’t feel all that good about myself for watching it; I should have known better. I have been unable to watch TV news, don't want to give this murderer any more of my time. I am also tired of the news media and their hypocrisy. I am just tired of the TV media and their warped hype just for the sake of ratings.

I’m glad I’ve been too busy to watch TV lately. I can’t stand it when they even play the audio on the radio. That video, as far as I’m concerned, is pornography, plain and simple. You’re right—they gave a mass murderer exactly what he wanted. That they would IMMEDIATELY broadcast it, before the bodies of the dead are cold and in the ground, is nothing short of supremely despicable.
Of course, just try and get them to play the 9-11 videos anymore.
