Custer divided his command in three battalions.
Both of his commanders, especially cpt Benteen, didn’t answer the orders.
How do you want to win battle if a subordinate fail to obey orders ?
Custer was responsible for the actions of his subordinates. Sorry but the buck stops with him.
I think I’ll take the words of the Cheyennes who have had the story handed down from their forefathers over someone who studies a battle for five years and then writes a book.
Sorry, but the Cheyennes are more believable.
Custer had it coming - I’m just sorry he got a lot of other good men killed at Little Bighorn with his ego.
