It will take a strong leader to pull it all together, plus a defeatable presidential candidate emerging in tatters from the the Dim party convention will help.

You are right, leadership is in a shambles and therein lies the reason we don’t have a conclusive candidate for 2008. Until someone goes back to the grass roots level and rebuilds from the State levels it isn’t going to improve. The dems are just as corrupt (or more) as the GOP, everything about DC corrupts, absolutely.

Why is Jefferson’s investigation stalled and Renzi’s on the front burner?

For the same reason the FBI kicked down Curt Weldon's door a couple of weeks before the election - - the Bush Justice Department is corrupt to the core and being largely directed by the Clinton dirt machine.
