I don’t have bitterness issues, I’m not divorced. I’ve seen first hand enough of them to know the realities of them, not to sit by as a bystandard with no context and react holier than though. Its not about excusing Alec’s behavior, its about recognizing the fact that this is nothing more than an obvious coordinated attack being bitten on by dupes for political reasons.
Sorry, but this stuff is evidence in a court case ordered sealed, its not “FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION”.... its a private family matter and the fact its been released to the public is violation of court order and illegal.
Discussing Baldwins character is fine, but to use this as a picture and example of it is frankly nonsense. Its part of an ongoing private family issue, that the courts are dealing with and have ordered both sides to not be releasing such things to the press.. but of course hell with the rule of law if it makes your political opponent look bad.
Sorry soccer, this is just as shameful as NBC running that nuts tapes. Its a court matter and let the court do its job. Alec has said and done pleanty of things in public for you to judge his public character, no reason for this sort of thing to be cited as evidence of it, other than politics.
I don’t like Baldwin, I think he’s an ass, but I don’t need to be citing or delving into his families personal issues to conclude that, nor should I. Let alone the fact that the parties in this matter have been ordered to NOT talk to the press about such things and that was obviously violated.
Alec’s given everyone pleanty of fodder to judge him by, but trying to use this sort of thing against him is just disgusting and dispicable. Just like I don’t care Bubba was a filanderer, his wife knew and put up with it, that’s between her and him. I do give a damn that he’s being serviced by a subordinate in the business office of the white house, let alone doing it while talking on the phone with congressmen about putting our troops into harms way, or while keeping other government business waiting etc.
Jumping on this tape is nothing more than boorish and pointless. It lessens the legitimate criticism of Alec and his politics and isn’t needed. Lets not forget Obama is a Senator today because a republican’s sealed divorce records were released....
