You must be listening at our house. I swear I hear my husband say that EVERY day. Difficult divorce, teenage daughter, Dad is still reaching out and I'm still encouraging him to do so, because I believe that it matters. Those who are horrified at Alec Baldwin's rant are rightly so, but sad experience tells me the mom is playing games here and the little girl is the ultimate victim.
Did you notice his reference to her being “11 years old, 12 years old...” as if he wasn’t quite sure how old she is?
Not that I follow the tawdry life of Alec Baldwin, but I do recall the incident several years ago where he gave Bassinger a similar dressing-down in public at a restaurant at the Hamptons. There was no tape recording, but I recall that it was quite nasty and upsetting to the other patrons.
That allows for some kind of excuse. There is no excuse. I don't care how trashy, mean or how big an a$$ the ex is. You just don't talk like that to an 11 year old child.

Alec’s rant was strictly a Narcissistic fit.

Regarding the tme - he mentions he’s in New York, and the child is in California, so the times sound like they are reasonable for him to be calling her.
Alec Baldwin is a jerk, and it appears nothing will change him but a deep religious conversion.
And you are right, he’s threatened politicians with stoning, etc., and the media ignored it because the politicians being threatened were Republicans. Liberals do not see conservatives as worth respecting or as humans.
He says he made an a** of himself “trying to get to a phone” to call her at a specific time. Doesn’t he have a cell phone?
The part where he says he is flying over to “straighten her out” just chilled me.
He is a narcissist,,it is all about his humiliation. Mom may be playing games as some said but what would any mother do who had this creep in her kids life. He is one entitled, mean, vicious SOB.
Mom was smart enough to know how to get him to drop his mask and show who he is. He doesn’t need to have a child take this from him.
It is time to commit Baldwin into a hospital and remove his right to buy guns.
It will be hard to spin the rant against his daughter. He looks like a creep.

Set him up? Baldwin is the only one at fault here. There’s no excuse for the behavior of this bully. No one MADE him say those things. Not the ex & certainly not the child. He did that all on his own.
