April 20, 2007 -- IN a disturbing voice-mail message recorded on April 11, Alec Baldwin called his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, "a rude, thoughtless little pig" after she didn't answer her phone for a court-ordered conversation. Baldwin left a two-minute rant, shouting, "I made an a - - out of myself trying to make this call . . . You have insulted me for the last time. You don't have the brains or the decency as a human being." Insiders told Page Six the message was submitted as sealed evidence during Wednesday's custody hearing over Baldwin and his ex-wife Kim Basinger's rights to their daughter.....

I think ALL left-wing liberal whackos have a personality disorder. Liberalism IS a disease.
Not!! You forget, he is part of the hollyweird connection to the democrat party.
Exactly. I’d heard ABOUT the call and heard that it was “an invasion of privacy” and I’d thought about conversations I’ve had with my teenage son in anger that I really would not want broadcast. But when I actually heard the call, I was appalled. It never said “I love you, honey, but you have made me very angry.” Or “You are a beautiful little girl but right now you are acting like a selfish pig.” And then came the physical threats about today’s meeting face to face, which I hope did not happen (unsupervised). Good L-rd. Absolute cruel ugliness to a child with no love or caring even implied therein.
That’s what I keep saying....
He’s an abuser.
For me, this has absolutely nothing to do with his political views. This has to do with an adult cussing out his 11 year old child and calling her a “rude little pig.” If he has a problem with her mother and said, “I think your mom is a rude little pig” yeah, maybe I could give him somewhat of a break in that he may have lost it due to years of frustration. I’d still think it was pretty pathetic. But that’s not what he did and it’s not the first time he’s done things like this.
Uh no it does prove my point... and I was very pleasantly supprised to see Rush basically take the same tact on this that I have advocated. Which is why he is the King.
I’m certain that Hannity will not.
No my point was its a private matter in the context of a divorce, that you nor no one else knows about, but is all to ready to put their .02 cents in and condemn over.
I do personally believe she released this, because its a pattern I’ve seen over and over in divorces.
I think those jumping on this as political attack point which many here are doing, and I have no doubt Hannity will do... and I was very impressed to see Rush not do, and as I said shows why he is the King.
Trying to use this as a condemnation of Alec for political reasons, which is all thats gone on here, is rediculous. You don’t like him fine, I don’t either, but latching onto this private moment that’s part of a very bitter divorce proceeding and its release is a violation of the courts, to justify your position or attacks is beyond the pail.
And make no mistake Hannity will spend at least a 1/2 hour on this, trying to spin it as more proof that Alec is a hypocrite etc etc etc .. because Hannity is a shill.
Divorces are ugly ugly things, and to try to take this incident as proof of overall character, which is clearly a part of a messy divorce, with a frustrated father dealing with his daughter in the middle of it, is flat out lunacy. Especially by those who have NEVER remotely been involved or around such things.
IF this is what you rely on as evidence of Alec’s temper, you truly have no clue what ugly divorces look like. This voice mail doesn’t even make the radar on stuff I’ve seen, and by people who are generally sane and rational and calm people.
You are being manipulated and duped, and undermining your entire stand by jumping on this thing as anything more than what it is, a blatant attempte by someone to harm Alec in the eyes of the court and the public. And yes, most likely its his ex wife.
Actually, I’m thinking Natalie&Colmes will be spending at least as much time on the VT shootings. Maybe some other things. I don’t think Alec will merit this much attention.
But Greta probably will have it on at least that long.
Well talking about Natalie’s radio show.. not Natalie and Colmes.
Oh, well that I’d grant you.
Not that I mind. Unless it gets boring, which things like this often do.
Were you upset that Linda Tripp recorded her “friend” and sent out the evidence of what was going on about Klintoon?
I think less of his wife for making this public. He was bad but then not all that bad to his daughter.
France? Maybe Ireland. That is fast becoming a popular place for many movie stars. Not as many cameras in their face.
“The father in this case dutifully making his court-ordered appointment when hes supposed to.”
Just an educated guess, but did Dad have a court ordered telephone appointment because he abused telephone calls to the house in the past?
If it was pattern and history you wouldn’t be latching onto this... like you and every other shill is. There is NOTHING different from this incident being used for political attacks than those latching onto the murders at VT for political gain.
This is nothing more than manufactured drama, and its shamefull to see so many people so foolish as to jump on this as some grand exposure of someones overall character.
This is nothing more than trolling, pure and simple... Alec can be the biggest jackass on the planet, very possibly may be so, but to argue that this incident is evidence of it is laughable.
Pile on politics, nothing more, and completely useless and counterproductive.... and as I predicted, Hannity didn’t waste any time making this some issue.. showing himself once again to be nothing more than a shill.
You clearly have no experience with ugly divorces, let alone frustrations a parent goes through when dealing with one and being undermined by the other parent, etc etc etc.... Calling your daughter a “rude pig” for not answering her phone when she knows you are calling repeatedly may not be tactful, but its hardly some summary judgement against anyones character.
And the ones shouting the loudest are clearly the ones who have no direct exposure to divorce, let alone long drawn out ugly ones.
This whole thing is a non event, and if the conservative movement is that desperate that this is an issue that must be pounced on, the movement is worse than and lower than Jesse Jackson. At least Imus’s statements were in a public forum.
As I have said my father was just like this guy and it is never just a private phone call. For me I hope the guy gets true counseling and not some celebrity stuff just for the sake of the court. You are right he is known to have a bad temper and the fact that it was directed at his daughter is bad. If he talks to her on the phone like this, you can be sure it can get ugly in person. Maybe the fact that it went public will force his hand in getting help and that is all I care about because his daughter will one day want to have a relationship with her father.Anger directed at a child never goes away, just pushed aside, that is why their is no excuse for it.
