I would agree with you except for I believe he has quite a history of this kind of outburst. By simply ignoring him and not engaging in this type of exchange, imo, the kid shows more maturity than her father.

In that I am going through this myself, I can feel some sympathy for him re the frustration, but what he did was inexcusable. I try to call my daughter every night. My ex is so mean that she blocked my phone number. I had to buy my daughter a cell phone, but my ex takes it away as punishment. Hell, I was in the hospital for 12 days with a heart condition... the ex blocked the hospital line so that I couldn’t speak to my daughter.

The ex has been trying very hard to poison my daughter (who is 11 also) against me. She makes her stand in front of her when she does talk to me on the phone...so my daughter would prefer not to talk to me on the phone. But I still call every night and leave her a voicemail that I am thinking about her and that I love her and miss her... I wonder if she gets any of them?

I think the games people play in divorces are a shame. The mother ‘set him up’ in a way. I question her ‘character’ in this situation nearly as much as Baldwin’s.

Thank you for this. It is amazing how some Freepers (bitter divorced men, probably,) are so quick to want to blame the ex-wife. Baldwin's inexcusable rant was caught on audio tape, and it's well known that he beat his wife, yet somehow it MUST be the wife's fault.

I agree, sounds like a frustrated father dealing with an ex wife and a child who’s not behaving as well. Classless yes, but frankly, having seen what divorce and such does and behaviors out of adults and children involved in them.... I’m not going to condemn the guy to hell over this.

Frustrating as hell when your authority as a parent is undermined by another parent, and you are thousands of miles away as well.

Hahahahaha... well, what I’ve seen men and women do during divorces, particularly ugly ones, this phone call doesn’t even rate. Sorry, but while tactless, this is hardly condemnation worthy.

Divorces are ugly, particularly when children are involved and parents use them against one another etc....

I am not going to condemn him over this, as the exact situation is not clear, and frankly the fact its been released to the press shows that the mother is clearly looking to harm her ex, and manipulate etc to do so.

So, his frustration with his ex wife and his daughter to me sems justified. Handled in the best way? Perhaps not, but when you have an ex poisoning your own children against you and you have little to no access to them, you aren’t going to be a “NICE GUY” no matter who you are.

I don’t like Alec, but this is personal business and should not be flaunted in public, mothers releasing of it clearly shows her intentions...

I have to agree.

I understand their points, that the child COULD be a brat, and/or Kim COULD be sabotaging him, BUT....

...while I think 1 could express anger with a bit of outrage in the voice, 1 should NEVER resort to profanity and name-calling with the child, even though she be a brat who really is selfishly spiting him.

Of course, he could perceive her as a brat, when in reality he is the brat and she is just instinctively trying to avoid him. Court order or not (courts in family things often stink). More likely she is just scared.

Actually, he said Henry Hyde & his whole family should be DRAGGED FROM THEIR HOME & stoned to death. Eyes bulging, spittle spewing from his lips. Then, he tried to cover by saying he was “just joking”.
