This is no surprise. They are probably no more that ten prople in the United States that did not know that this would happen if the Democrats gained control of Congress.

Never-the-less American voters for one reason or another voted to put the Democrats in Control. Therefore, since the American people, knowing full well what the Democrats would do regarding the military, the war in Iraq and Afganistan, and to everything under the sun that is good and decent chose to put them in power so it can be safely assumed that this is what America wants.

The Democrats caused a blood bath in Vietnam. They are well on their way to doing the same thing in Iraq and Afganistan.

Other Nations and people in the World that did not get the message from the Vietnam experience that it is bad to side with the United States will not miss the message this time around.

Anyone who thinks that a Democrat will be sad or sorry to see the blood of American troops or any freedom loving individual shed is only fooling themselves. Each time an American Serviceman/woman loses their lives, the Democrats rejoice.

Now the blood of a murderer, whether domestic or foreign is another matter. When a murderer gets their just rewards, as far as the Democrats are concerned, there is no joy in Mudville.

The Dems never met a fight they couldn’t run from.

Here is what I wrote:

Mr. Reid,

I am a 26 year veteran, Senior Master Sergeant in the Michigan Air National Guard. When I first enlisted in 1980, the military was still suffering from the backlash against the Vietnam War. We did not wear our uniforms in public. Certain venues near military bases were strictly off limits, due to public sentiment toward the military.

During the Reagan years, that changed dramatically. We became proud to wear our uniforms in public and felt honored and valued again for what we do for this country.

Now comes the battle in Iraq, a necessary component in the War on Terror. Battle, I said, because that is what it truly is. We have drawn out the terrorists there, to be fought and defeated far from our own shopping centers, schools, monuments and public places. In this, we need the united backing of the American people.

Do we have it? Barely. Today, you ran the white flag of surrender up the pole to see if it will fly. Have you and your comrades sounded the endless drumbeat of defeat for so long that you can no longer envision winning against this enemy? Because that is the choice. We must decide if we are going to win or lose.

How long it takes, no one can be certain. We are dealing with a patient enemy that is more than willing to wait us out. You seem equally willing to give them what they want. That is a decision to lose, to surrender, to tuck tail and run.

Oh that we could bring all the troops home and return to a normal and peacful life. That will not happen. The enemy will be encouraged, empowered to follow them here and begin a reign of terror that can only be imagined in our worst nightmares.

As a member of the military, a wife and a mother, this prospect does not comfort or please me. In my role of performing Homeland Defense, I will pick up my sword and fight them here, as I must. I will help to defend the very poeple who brought this war back to my own home, because that is what I have sworn to do.

You have done a great disservice to this country; its people, its military and its very safety and well-being.

This country owes much more to its servicemen and women and their families. Today was the ultimate slap in the face.

CMK

I thought that Tom Dashle was the lowest form of life that has ever surfaced in the Senate in my lifetime. Fat Teddy is not even measured.

Where do these low lifes come from? Who votes for such vermin?

Pelosi cavorts with a terror-supporting dicatator like Syria’s Assad to embarrass Bush and to feign some weirdo Liberal support for Israel and Reid does his best Michael Moore imitation in the WOT and the MSM turns a blind eye while really Americans in uniform risk their lives the front lines and the average American remains apathetic about the hyper-partisan Democrat attacks, and I wonder if we’re not near the end of our Republic.

Here are some suggestion for bumper stickers:

1. Al-qaeda (insert bleeding heart symbol) Harry Reid

2. HARRY REID is a LOSER

3. Surrender Harry Reid - Resign from the Senate

Unfortunately, the Democrats will NOT pay any price for losing the war. That is a fact.

They did the same surrender thing in Vietnam, and there they even had the courage to shut off funding cold. But did they pay any price? No. In fact, they won an overwhelming majority in Congress in 74 and the Presidency in 76.

It’s happening again, and with the MSM in control of the first draft of history, the Democrats will not be the villians, but the heroes.

If we are lucky, the Democrat reign post-Iraq will end before the certain-to-come war with the Chinese gets hot and we have a chance to rebuild our demoralized military.

Why would we ever trust the Democrats on national security matters ever again?

They are losers who hope and work for the defeat of our nation.

Just as Rush said the Democrats OWN DEFEAT!

The Democrats hope for our loss in Iraq.

A vote for a Democrat is a vote for the end of our Country and our way of life.

Maybe Dirty Harry should go over to Afghanistan, find Bin Laden, and then formally surrender to him. I'm sure his moonbat constituents would love him for doing that, and would elect him to a lifetime Senate seat.

If the American people are as averse to taking casualties in war as this generation seems to be, there is no hope for ever defeating militant Islam on it's march to world domination.

Better start looking for good buys on burkhas and Fezes folks, because we're gonna need them after the Democrats surrender unconditionally and the Mullahs take over.

In the 2006 elections the 5th column Muslim community in America turned out for the democraps. Reid is living proof of what a pandering dirty bastard politician will do on behalf of terrorists as long as they are there with the money and the votes.

"....triggering an angry backlash by Republicans ...."

Where?? WHAT " Angry Backlash " ??

Just where the French-Trench has BEEN the Republicans' " Angry Backlash " over all past, negative Demo-Rats Attacks for the last Weeks; MONTHS!

Sometimes I think I am madder at CARL ROVE & the GOP for their Silence and Their not placing in line our own RINOS, then I am over any of Harry Reid's or Pelosi's statements! (IF we had someone on our side with Reid's & Peoplsi's DRIVE-"WE'd" be the ones with all the Press Coverage and all the Sound bites!! or do we have Republicans presently fighting out there ? and the media is not just covering it?!)

Reid & Company are ONLY going to get as much Traction & Attention as the Conservative/Republicans in Office ALLOW them to get!

P.S.- If I hear any other future Conservative candidate even mutter the phrase, " New Tone..." I will take a vacation til after 08' and let the rabble have their way.
